Everywhere I've seen says this will fix the problem, however, it doesn't. So I tried to update SP2 by just getting the newest one from the microsoft website and of course, my machine was getting access issues and it wouldnt install. The silly thing is, its not all the machines in the office that are having this problem, only some of them, but I cant figure out whats different between the machines that dont work and the machines that do.
Im going to go and try the whole SP2 idea on another machine, in the mean time, has anybody got any other ideas on how to fix this??? Cuz I'm fresh out of them. I paste the instruction for version 8i, you can adapt it to your version. Failed to initialize Common Updater subsystem.
