Have you? If you see Liveupdate error, please reboot your system. We are working on resolving this issue. I would suggest it is the 3rd party drivers. Norton should be able to close their own drivers. I cannot test as I do not have Win 11 yet.
I'll let others test the new OS before I take the leap. From what can be put together from the posts already here, Windows 11 appears to be the issue.
When Norton installs a patch on my WIndows 10 machines the entire desktop explorer. I have always rebooted when patches are installed regardless of whether prompted to do so or not. That ensures the patches are correctly installed. Edited: Is this Windows 11 update currently installed? Oh, so only Win 11? The problem is that this has been happening repeatedly, and on Tuesday it happened twice in a couple of hours even though I did a restart after the first one.
Doing a restart every time is a workaround, but it's a real nuisance when I'm trying to get things done. I have not installed anything new, except for Windows Updates which appear in the Windows updater so I assume something in one of the more recent Windows updates caused this.
Rebooting does not fix the problem. I manually reinstall from the downloader. It works for hours at which point the error comes back, requiring removal and reinstall. After reinstalling, do you run LiveUpdate manually a few times, restarting as necessary, until no updates are available? Then restart again. Restarting, not shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled.
