Robot spykee wifi meccano

Then I decided to run back to Costco and pick one up before the US supply runs out. The robot has been available in the UK and Europe for some time — it was at one time called Spyke, but probably as a result of some trademark issues, now is called Spykee.

The basic idea is that the robot connects via wifi and therefore can be controlled either locally on the same wi-fi network, or remotely from any IP address. I got Spykee because it supports the Mac. The other wifi robot, Rovio, only works with Windows. Remove the treads from the bottom of the robot.

On the bottom of the robot are eight screws. Remove the screws and then split the case open. It will just come apart if all 8 screws are removed. Be careful of the wires connecting the top of the robot to the base. With caution, it will not be necessary to disconnect the four connectors but be sure to not put any strain on them. I always disconnect them. Just be sure to note where they go. There are four screws holding this board in place. One of the screws is under tape located on the upper right hand corner with the robot facing you.

There are multiple cables connected to the circuit board. Do not disconnect any of these. View our Magazine. Tweets by RobotReviews. Robot Reviews Register Login. Search Forum Search Search this site:.
